Expression analysis of Lpx-B1 genes and alleles. Total RNA was isolated from the mature grains of the 18 durum wheat cultivars of the germplasm collection and subjected to semi-quantitative RT-PCR analysis using the same specific primer pairs used for Figure 3B, and amplification conditions described in Methods. Normalisation of the PCR reactions was performed using primers designed on the wheat 17S rRNA constitutive genes. For cultivar abbreviations, see legend to Figure 3B.
