Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis analyses of shoot proteins in Shanyou 10 and Liangyoupeijiu. Rice shoot proteins separated by IEF/SDS-PAGE were stained with silver nitrate. Numbered spots represent proteins that were identified detailed in Table 1. (A) Total protein (120 μg) from rice shoots of Shanyou 10 treated with 100 mM NaCl was loaded onto a 17-cm IPG gel with pH 5-8. SDS-PAGE (12% gel) was used in the second-dimension separation. Gels were stained with silver nitrate solution. Numbers on the right represent apparent molecular masses. Numbers above gels represent isoelectric point range of separated proteins. (B) Total protein (200 μg) from rice shoots of Shanyou 10 treated with 100 mM NaCl was loaded onto a 17-cm IPG gel with pH 7-10.
