The percentage of nuclei where autocorrelation value is significantly negative (< −0.2) or positive (> +0.2) are shown in the Figure. Waiting time autocorrelation values for CO4– and exudate-induced spiking display a maximum in the negative range, whereas Nod factor-induced spiking is characterized by a prevalence of positive autocorrelation values. Letters indicate statistically significant differences as highlighted by the Pearson χ2 test.
