Clustering of gene sequences performed according to the Real-Time PCR expression values. Pair-wise analysis of expression patterns related to the selected 89 gene sequences was performed by Cluster software comparing the three different fruit stages (2 versus 1 and 3 versus 2). Different tonalities of green and red represent down- and up-regulation levels, respectively. Enzyme names corresponding to enzyme codes are listed in the supplementary materials (Additional file 2).
