Relative abundance of ACS (A-B) and ACO (C-D) multigene family members in roots and leaves of 3 weeks old Arabidopsis thaliana plants exposed for 0, 24 or 72 h to either 5 or 10 μM CdSO4 or grown under control conditions in a hydroponic culture system. Data represent mean abundance of at least 4 biological replicates relative to the control (0 h, 0 μM CdSO4) and with the abundance of the most highly expressed family member set at 1 under the control condition.
