Analysis of defence and cell wall biosynthesis gene transcript levels in the stem base of Fusarium -infected seedlings of barley cultivars Akashinriki, Bowman and their uzu derivatives (Aka-uzu and Bow-uzu), as determined by quantitative RT-PCR analysis. Gene represented are (A) Pathogen-induced protein WIR1A (Contig2170), (B) Pathogenesis-related protein 1 (PR1) (Contig2210), (C) CER1 protein (Contig14570), (D) Cellulose synthase-like protein (CS-like) (Contig8067) and (E) Glycine-rich cell wall structural protein (GRP) (Contig3198).
