Expression of SlSRs in response to infection by P. syringae pv. tomato DC3000. Four-week-old plants were inoculated by vacuum infiltration with P. syringae pv. tomato DC3000 (OD600?=?0.0002) (filled black bars) or with 10 mM MgCl2 solution as a mock inoculation control (open bars). Leaf samples were collected at indicated time points after inoculation for analysis of SlSR expression by qRT-PCR using gene-specific primers. Relative expression folds were calculated after normalization with actin transcript values. Data presented are the means ± SD from three independent experiments and different letters above the columns indicate significant differences at p?<?0.05 level the pathogen-inoculated and mock-inoculated plants.
