A phylogenetic tree for eIF4AIII in dicots, monocots, green algae, vertebrates, invertebrates, and yeast was generated using MEGA 5. eIF4AIII members from rice, maize, sorghum, and Brachypodium are categorized into the monocot group with at least 50 % bootstrap support.
