Sinapic acid decreased ABA-induced inhibition of seed germination in Arabidopsis. Wild-type Arabidopsis seeds were incubated with 0.5 mM sinapic acid, ferulic acid, cinnamic acid, p-coumaric acid, or caffeic acid for 36 h at 4 °C in the dark, and then germinated on MS agar medium with 0.2 μM ABA. Values are means ± SD of three independent experiments (>100 seeds per data point). Asterisks indicate significant changes compared with the control (P < 0.05) calculated using Student’s t-test
