Mg-deficient effects on Gly I (a, c, e and g) and Gly II (b, d, f and h) activities expressed on a DW (a-d) or protein (e-h) basis in C. sinensis leaves (a-b and e-f) and roots (c-d and g-h). Bars represent means ± SE (n = 8). Significant differences between Mg-deficient roots and controls were made by unpaired t-test. Four means [two (Mg levels) × two (leaf positions)] were analyzed by two ANOVA followed by Duncan’s new multiple range test. Different letters above the bars indicate a significant difference at P < 0.05
