Round double-sided wedge boxes represent exons; black lines represent introns; gray boxes represent untranslated regions (UTRs); and the numbers near the introns indicate the intron phase. If an intron is between two complete codons, then the intron phase is defined as 0; if an intron is after the first or second nucleotide within the codon, the intron phase is defined as phase 1 or phase 2
