Palmitoylation of Al-BKN2 and At-BKN2. (a) Protein expression and (b) Palmitoylation assay for Al-BKN2 and At-BKN2. BKN2 proteins were purified from yeast cells and tested for S-palmitoylation using the in vitro acyl-RAC assay [82]. The BKN2 proteins were detected via C-terminal V5 epitope tags and western blotting with an anti-V5 antibody. The presence of a band in the + NH2OH bound lanes indicates that both BKN2 proteins were palmitoylated when expressed in yeast cells
