Medicago Mtnoot1 mutant seedlings have a thinner primary root at 6 DAG. The size of the cross-sectional area of (a) primary root and (b) vascular bundle of the medicago Mtnoot1 tnk507 mutant at zone 2, 3 and 4 are significantly smaller when compared to wild-type medicago roots. The data represent means + SD of three independent experiments, each experiment contains 18–20 roots. Student t-test was performed to assess significant differences (**: P < 0.01, ***: P < 0.001, ****: P < 0.0001).
