HCA of genes differentially expressed in Thellungiella harvested from the Yukon field site in 2003 and 2005 and Thellungiella exposed to abiotic stresses in growth cabinets. Transcript expression levels that were significantly different from control levels were converted to a ratio of the treatment over the appropriate control. Ratios greater than 1.5 or less than 0.67 were then log10 transformed before being subjected to HCA and illustrated as a heat map. White indicates no difference in gene expression between the sample and its respective control while red or blue indicates that gene expression was higher or lower, respectively, relative to a control. Values associated with the variable intensity of red and blue in the legend are fold-differences (before log transformation) compared to the appropriate control. Genes are annotated with the Arabidopsis locus identifier to which they are best matched.
