Panels d, e, and f show levels in avirulent and virulent biotype L Hessian fly larvae feeding on H9-Iris and Newton wheat plants, respectively. Error bars represent mean ± SE of two independent biological replicates. Statistically significant (p < 0.05) differences in polyamine levels between infested and uninfested (control) wheat plants (panels a, b, c) and between virulent and avirulent larvae (panels d, e, f) are indicated by ‘*’ with fold-change values.
